Ten Perrenially Worthwhile Endeavors Especially in an "Unemployed" World: My Answer to the "Humans Need Not Apply" Alarmist Materialist Video Below

1. Elimination of money and the need thereof [the only real problem caused by unemployment!]
2. Enjoy staying at home with your family and friends, and travel at leisure.
3. Pray.
4. Sing and create music.
5. Laugh and Cry.
6. Learn for the sake of knowledge itself.
7. Think and talk, relate.
8. Love (God and neighbor).
9. Care.
10. Help others in all of the above.

The human person is the Purpose and the Limit of Technology. There is a fundamental error in logic in the video and that is the difference between the horse and the employee. The employee is a man endowed with human dignity which is categorically higher and above that of the animals and of the elements. All of our decisions regarding man and men must be made at the service of each and every person. The horses and the robots are completely at our service. They are dispensable, we are not. We are their lords under God. Cf. Gaudium et Spes, 24, also Caritas in Veritate.

Cf. The Little Prince, Saint-Exupery 1943

This was a merchant who sold pills that had been invented to quench thirst. "You need only swallow one pill a week, and you would feel no need of anything to drink."

"Why are you selling those?" asked the little prince.

"Because they save a tremendous amount of time," said the merchant. "Computations have been made by experts. With these pills, you save fifty-three minutes in every week."

"And what do I do with those fifty-three minutes?"

"Anything you like..."

"As for me," said the little prince to himself, "if I had fifty-three minutes to spend as I liked, I should walk at my leisure toward a spring of fresh water."
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince, 1943

“What makes the desert beautiful,” said the little prince, “is that somewhere it hides a well.

Please note that the greatest things in life cost nothing (i.e. cannot be bought or sold; do not depend on my job!) Life, love and friendship, truth and loyalty, gratitude and generosity, chastity and every form of modesty, faith, nature in all her riches. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all things besides will be given to you! says Jesus Christ the Lord of all, even of the bots!
