On Nursing

Nursing is a Feminine Virtue

On the one hand, consider that no male has ever conceived, born, given birth, or given suck to any man ever.

On the other hand, every man (except Adam and Eve) was conceived, born, given birth and given suck by a woman, his mother.

100% of men who ever breastfeed, bear and conceive men are women!

0% of men who ever breastfeed, bear and conceive men are men!

The difference is categorical, essential, indisputable and due to the specific grandeur and genius of woman.

In this we do well to consider Holy Mary, the "blessed are you among women" and the "blessed...fruit of your womb, Jesus." Cf. the Hail Mary!

Happy Feast of All Saints under the Queen of All the Saints: Regina Sanctorum, ora pro nobis, ora pro clero et pro femineo sexu!

N.B. The prayer I use above, largely unknown and therefore omitted, is at the end of  the Latin edition of the Litany of Loretto including a plea to the Most Blessed Virgin Mary for the clergy and for the devout feminine sex.

Sancta Maria, succurre miseris, iuva pusillanimes, refove flebiles, ora pro populo, interveni pro clero, intercede pro devoto femineo sexu; sentiant omnes tuum iuvamen quicumque celebrant tuum sanctum patrocinium.

P.S. This thought came to me while considering how inept was my dad in the face of the care required by my increasingly ailing and dying mom (rip), who died two months ago, in contrast to the prompt, tender, most able and vigilant care of their six daughters. May it not be held against him!
