A CAIN CUANDO MATO A SU HERMANO, QUEVEDO

You offer more precious sacrifices to envy than to God.
So, envy is more in your debt than God!
Cain, your termite-boring envy owes you more,
than God Himself who created you.
Because to Him you offered from your labors,
the worst of your harvests and plants.
And to it you offered with your hand,
the tender life of your own brother. (Plinthos translation)
