Looking for some light, classic, Summer reading; you might try that book.
Having read much more Chesterton than Dickens I would recommend a novel by Chesterton himself: e.g.The Ball and the Cross or The Napoleon of Notting Hill.
Of course, The "Father Brown" Mysteries are also a wholesome Chestertonian delight.
